Toronto, Canada GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has announced the release of its handheld network tester which integrates the functionality of both a Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) and a Digital Multi-Meter (DMM). It is ideally suited for the installation and maintenance of xDSL networks.
This portable network tester, model 321, boasts various functions including network layer testing, cable length testing, PPPoE dialing, DMM tests and wiring diagram testing which aims to validate cable link sequence. It conducts network layer tests such as Ping, IPconfig, Tracert, and Route and tests cable length and breaks within a maximum distance of 150 m. The tester also performs other tests such as AC or DC voltage, line capacitance and line insulation. This network tester works with various types of shielded and non-shielded cables including CAT5, CAT5E and CAT6. The embedded software is designed to be upgradable. In addition, this tester has a memory capacity of 20 M and allows users to download test results to a computer or a USB drive.Toronto, Canada GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has announced the release of its handheld network tester which integrates the functionality of both a Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) and a Digital Multi-Meter (DMM).
